Overall, I'm beyond happy with this filter as it's quick to filter. You can really use it as a straw.
But then again, it's just a filter. It doesn't purify the water so the water will taste basically the same before filtering.
I didn't use the pouches that came with it because the water placed in them tasted like plastic.
With that said, I highly suggest buying Aquatabs which I did so I'd be more at ease on my hikes/camps.
